They say we eat with our eyes first, but if you take all meals at face value then you can be missing out on some super tasty and super easy dishes! Look at my take on a Corned Beef Hash, for instance, it’s not pretty by any means, but it sure is tasty! Made mostly from canned foods, it’s can be made into a hearty meal in 20 minutes! If either the purse strings or times are tight, then you can whip this up in no time at all.
Corned Beef Hash

- 1 x Tin of Corned Beef (340g)
- 1 x Tin of Baked Beans (415g)
- 500g New Potatoes (Tinned or Fresh, peeling is optional)
- 1 x Onion, Sliced
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- Black Pepper
- Olive Oil
Instructions
Cut the potatoes into chunks and bring up to the boil and leave to simmer away for 12 minutes.
In a large pan, heat up the olive oil over a medium-to-low heat.
Peel and finely slice the onion, and add to the pan and leave to cook away for 12 minutes. Cover with a lid if available.
After 12 minutes, drain the potatoes and add into the pan with the onions, turn the heat up to medium, and brown the potatoes in the pan for a couple of minutes.
Chop the corned beef into chunks and add into the pan and cook for a couple more minutes.
Tip the beans into the pan and stir into the hash.
Season to taste using Worcestershire sauce and cracked black pepper.
Cook for another 2 - 3 minutes.
Serve up with a fried egg on top!
